The mission of the project is to engage young people in providing valuable, sustainable and feasible solutions to problems of public concern. Young people will participate online, using the SMART method of public policy.which is recognized as a good practice by the Council of Europe. The project involves partners from Romania, France, Greece, and Italy. |

Following these ideas, the SciCafe project proposes the notion of networking, exchange of best practices, and co-operation between science cafes in different cities and regions of Europe, both in their physical vicinities and in virtual space. Scicafe will operate as a vehicle for the promotion of the public understanding of science and of the public debate on scientific issues, focusing specifically on the promotion of a scientific culture at the local level. Euroscience Greece is the coordinator of the project which is being funded under the FP7-Science in Society action of the European Commission. |

EUROSiS is bringing together all the NCPs for the Science in Society program in order to create a networkand will continually improve their services through the exchange of good practices, the communication of all the representatives and the creation of a well structured partner search tool. Furthermore a lot of events will be organised in order to train both the new NCPs as well as the already experienced. One of the most important activities of the project will be the survey of the competence of the already nominated NCPs. This will be performed through mapping the SiS NCPs’ competences and stakeholders’ needs in order to launch the first knowledge management tool for the SiS NCP services.
