Euroscience and FNAC open the Science Café for 2010, inviting us to a series of meetings which will let us navigate the scientific universe. Relaxed, “coffee” mood and scientific approaches: this is the Science Cafe! First topic of the year: the origins of zodiac signs and constellations. The discussion will be lead by Stavros Dimitrakoudis. Let’s track down the history of zodiac signs and constellations, from its dawn, in Mesopotamia, up to our era, when the belief that constellations define people’s life has become quite popular. Where do star signs come from? How did their names come up? Does Taurus have the same age with Aries? Is Scorpio really 3.000 years old?
When : Thursday 4th February 2010 at 19.00
Where: Fnac, Monastiraki
and Saturday 6th February at 19.00 at FNAC at the Mall. |
